How AI visual inspection works,
in four simple steps.

From a camera on your line to defect, safety and count data in under 100ms, processed at the edge.

1
Industrial camera mounted above a factory conveyor, pointed down at products passing on the belt

Point a camera at the line

Use existing CCTV for safety use cases, or add an industrial camera over the line for close-up defect inspection.

2
Camera view of products on a conveyor with AI boxes, one faulty product outlined in red

Edge AI checks every frame

Models on NVIDIA Jetson devices next to the cameras detect defects, missing PPE, people, forklifts and products in under 100ms.

3
CCTV view of a factory floor with AI boxes on workers, green for hard hat and vest worn and red for missing PPE

Every event is logged

Defects, PPE violations, counts and measurements are saved with an image, and can be sent to your MES or PLC.

4

Act on alerts and trends

Quality and safety leads get real-time alerts and see defect and safety trends by line and plant in one dashboard.

Industrial AI Use Cases
from factory floor to warehouse.

Computer vision that checks product quality, keeps workers safe and spots problems in real time and on the cameras you already run.

Manufacturing

AI defect detection and automated visual inspection catch faults on the line, before they reach rework or the customer.

Warehousing

Forklift and pedestrian tracking shows traffic hot spots and risky crossings in busy aisles and loading bays.

Heavy Industry

PPE detection and restricted-zone alerts monitor safety compliance across hazardous areas.

-90%
defect escape

Manufacturing plant cut defect escapes by 90%

Problem • Manual visual inspection let defects slip through to later stages.

Result • Inline AI defect detection now catches faulty products on the line, before packaging.

96
safety score

Warehouse raised its safety score to 96

Problem • Forklift and pedestrian incidents were trending up.

Result • Computer vision now sends real-time alerts when forklifts and people meet in near-miss zones.

14
plants live

Edge AI inspection rolled out to 14 plants

Problem • Cloud-only processing was too slow for decisions on the line.

Result • Edge inference on NVIDIA Jetson now runs in under 80ms on every line.

AI visual inspection,
your questions answered.

The questions plant, quality and safety teams ask most.

What is AI visual inspection?

AI visual inspection uses cameras and computer vision models to check products and processes on the line in real time, instead of relying on people to spot problems by eye. SwiftVision AI builds these systems for factories and warehouses.

Can it detect defects on our products?

Yes. Defect detection models are trained on images of your own good and faulty parts, so they learn the defects that matter on your line, such as scratches, dents, stains or misaligned parts.

Does it work with our existing cameras?

Often, yes. Safety use cases such as PPE detection usually run on the CCTV you already have. Fast lines or very small defects may need a dedicated industrial camera, and we tell you which during scoping.

How does PPE detection work?

The system watches camera feeds for people and checks whether each person is wearing the required PPE, such as a hard hat or safety vest. When someone is missing it, the event is logged with an image so safety leads can follow up.

Does it run on the edge or in the cloud?

Inference runs on edge devices such as NVIDIA Jetson, close to the cameras. That keeps response times under 100ms, which is what decisions on a moving line need.

Can it count products on a conveyor?

Yes. AI detects each item as it passes a line drawn across the belt and keeps a running count, as shown in our conveyor counting demo.

Can it measure object dimensions?

Yes. A calibrated top-down camera can measure each object in millimetres and classify its shape, along with a confidence score for every detection.

Can it connect to our MES or PLC?

Yes. Detection results can be sent to your MES or PLC, so line systems and dashboards can act on them without manual entry.

How much does AI visual inspection cost?

The cost depends on how many lines and cameras you have, which use cases you need, such as defect detection, PPE or counting, and whether new cameras are required. If you want a number for your site, book a demo and we will talk through scope and pricing.
